Surinaams Monument
Villa rose
Villa Rose was personally built by the grandfather of the current
owner Deborah Sjak-Shie, Richenel Sjak-Shie after the Second World
War, together with a carpenter when he married her grandmother
Lily van der Jagt.
In doing so he deliberately chose the model of a plantation house.
The only thing missing is a balcony.
The grounds on which this house stands belonged to the parents of
Deborah her grandparents, van der Jagt-Cooman.
